The field stage of an empirical sociological study among students has been completed. The survey was conducted at the end of 2022 among students of social sciences at universities in four cities – Sofia, Plovdiv, Ruse, and Haskovo. The cities were selected to represent:
- the capital Sofia (with a population of 1,307,439 people);
- the second largest city – Plovdiv (with a population of 343,070 people);
- another big city – Ruse (with 151,754 people) and
- another regional center, but a relatively small city – Haskovo (with a population of 86,632 people), in which there are branches of 3 universities.
The collected information covers a wide range of thematic areas characterizing the integration of students in society: their participation in the labor market, activity in the sphere of cultural life, civic activity – participation in the life of the community, informal communication, legal awareness. The collected information refers both to a description of the real situation and to their evaluations, wishes and intentions.
